Delete Your Ekalight Account

You can delete your Ekalight account and its data at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest way and takes effect immediately.

Open Ekalight and sign in.
Open the menu and tap Account Settings.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Request deletion without the app

If you have already uninstalled Ekalight, or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you.

Send from the email address on the account, and include the subject line “Delete my Ekalight account”. If you cannot email from that address, tell us the address you signed up with so we can verify it before deleting anything.

We action requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

Everything tied to your account, including the images themselves — not just the records that point at them:

Your account and sign-in credentials.
Your collection: cards, grades, conditions, quantities, and any purchase or sale transactions you logged.
Your wishlist and any collections you created.
Card scan images and the scan history associated with them.
Your profile photo and cover photo.
Your posts, comments, and the images attached to them.
Your direct messages.

What may remain, and why

Messages you sent to other people. A conversation belongs to both participants, so copies already delivered to another person’s inbox stay with them.
Content reported for review. If something you posted was reported, we may retain it for a limited period so the report can be resolved and to prevent abuse.
Anonymised and aggregated data. Records that are no longer linked to you or to your account — for example counts used to improve card recognition — may be retained.
Backups. Deleted data can persist in encrypted backups for a short period before those backups expire on their normal schedule.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove individual items. In the app you can delete your own posts and comments, remove cards from your collection, delete a collection, and change or remove your profile and cover photos.
